We had a wonderful day, with fantastic speakers and an engaged audience and informative vendors. Tick Wise Education is working on keeping the learning going by providing slide shows and videos so that you can re-watch the lectures and share with others.
However, please be patient, this was our first conference and we are still working on details. I apologize for not providing parking information prior to the symposium via email or otherwise – that was my fault. I also apologize for not scheduling a break. I wanted to get as much information as I could to you, but maybe it was a bit too much!
We will be working on a “Conference Autopsy” this Wednesday night at 6:30pm at the South Fork Museum on Natural History to talk about what worked well last Saturday, what needs work, and where we are going from here with our adult educational programming. Feel free to join us and weigh in! Also, feel free to share your thoughts with me via email and I can read them aloud to our support and advocacy group on Wednesday.
We did record the lectures and paid for the raw footage of the event - and we are now seeking bids to edit that raw footage and produce the videos. If you are in this line of work please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. After we figure out what our cost is we can figure out how we are going to make the videos available to all of you. Please feel free to make donations to our video production project, or if you are in the business volunteer your time to help us get this job done!
